Let’s take a look at the Analyser plan+do™ style to see how you can use your unique planner + organise your day with ease.

Analyser Personality

Like I mentioned earlier, Analysers aren’t just into the nitty gritty details, although many who enjoy the finer points may be.

You’re a results seeker + thinker. You enjoy sorting through the issue + developing theories.

Analysers love nothing better than ticking off the tasks + seeing a problem solved. You have an incredible ability to use time effectively.

Often times you find yourself pushing the boundaries to see if there’s a more efficient solution. You find it difficult to accept something … just because.

Questions for you often start with “What about …?”

Analyser Planning

Because of your incredible ability to effectively use time + the way you like to dive into the details, how you plan your day will look different too. When you can structure your day that lays out the path to success, you focus better.

Give yourself the gift of focus + space to create a day that works with you. A prioritised day is your secret for efficiency.

Ideally you like to work on the tasks of highest value first. With the details planned out, small chunks of time is all you need to do what needs to be done.

Eliminating clutter, both mentally and physically, helps to keep you from getting stuck or distracted.

For example you may organise specific times for activity in your days:

First in your day – highest value task in your peak productive time
Late morning – email + phone calls
Early afternoon – research, admin + errands
Last – confirm the following day’s schedule

If you are having a themed week, focusing on a particular project, you may like to divide your days into different parts of the project and use that early morning energy burst.

You don’t have to have your own business or a career to take advantage of theme weeks, days + batching. They work great for the most important job in the world too, parenting!

As a self confessed serial project starter, having theme weeks + days helps me focus on what needs to be done. Simply implementing this style of planning I’ve completed projects I had on the go for months, in a relatively short period of time.

Now that’s what I call planner peace!

Analyser Doing

Just like your day, your planner will look different too.

s a Analyser you can make incredible things happen simply with your favourite pen.

To have an overview of what’s happening + when, you enjoy using a single snapshot of the year and single monthly pages.

And just like your schedule, you love lots of space for details in your planner. Make sure you have plenty of grid or note pages throughout your planner to capture those important details. You may even like to add some to the reverse side of your day + month pages.

With a daily page + a master todo list you’ll have the all the space you need to focus on what matters.

If you are coordinating a larger family or mixing personal + business together you may prefer a double month spread with your master todo list.

Clear your mind with a weekly meeting. They are great for families too. Write down everything that needs your attention for the coming week. A side yet beneficial bonus is that now everyone else knows what they are responsible for. Your mind can be used for other Analyser things instead of trying to remember so many things for yourself + others.

Either the night before or early that morning list the top three things you need to do for the day. And if you have time to spare after these are done you know you can go to your master todo list to find what’s next.

The master todo list is also helpful when things pop into your mind while working on other tasks. No need to be interrupted or concerned that you’ll forget it later. Simply write them on the master todo list + you can get right back to it.
